Designer (Fixed‑term, Arts & Culture Project)

About the role

This is a fixed‑term Designer position supporting an arts & culture project. The role is seconded to the client side and works closely with APCO’s Digital team to create marketing, advertising and social‑media assets, as well as corporate brand and communication tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop multimedia layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and other content for presentations, websites, video productions and electronic media.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to review design options, functionality and programming needs.
• Create web‑interface designs, select illustrative materials and produce engaging animations using After Effects and other animation tools.
• Translate business requirements and technical capabilities into visually compelling, audience‑centered designs.
• Identify design problems and deliver effective solutions.

Required profile

• BA/BFA in Design or a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and emotionally engaging design work.
• Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to accept criticism, incorporate feedback and present ideas confidently at all levels.
• Solution‑driven design style with a flair for art direction and animation.
