Project Manager – Water Infrastructure Design & Build

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Design & Build delivery of water networks, reservoirs and related infrastructure in Amman, Jordan. The role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams, managing contracts under the FIDIC Yellow Book, and ensuring project success in a complex, internationally funded environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Design & Build water infrastructure project from concept to completion.
• Coordinate engineering, environmental and construction teams across disciplines.
• Liaise with contractors, funding institutions and key stakeholders.
• Control programme, quality, risk, budget and overall project delivery.
• Monitor contractor performance, review technical submissions and produce project reports.
• Ensure compliance with employer requirements, FIDIC contract obligations and project KPIs.
• Support procurement, contract administration, claims management and stakeholder engagement.
• Uphold Environmental & Social Framework (ESF) requirements and promote health, safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of post‑graduate experience, including at least 5 years delivering Design & Build water infrastructure projects.
• BSc (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven track record managing major water networks, pipelines, reservoirs and pumping systems.
• Extensive experience with FIDIC Yellow Book contracts.
• Experience on World Bank, AFD or other International Financing Institution funded projects.
