Senior Fullstack Java-Angular Developer

About the role

Nortal is looking for a Senior Fullstack Java-Angular Developer to create digital solutions that impact governments, healthcare, telecom and large enterprises. You will work with globally distributed teams in an agile environment, turning high‑level business value into reliable software.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams and articulate business value.
• Create and maintain API documentation and technical user stories.
• Approve technical concepts and automate documentation generation.
• Run Scrum or Kanban processes when needed.
• Identify performance issues in distributed systems and troubleshoot them.
• Evaluate tools and frameworks for the engineering team.
• Analyze end‑to‑end flows and interactions of distributed systems.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Enjoys challenges of collaboration across borders.
• Ability to explain high‑level business value of projects.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proven ability to document and review technical concepts.

Required skills

• Java
• Spring Framework
• Cloud‑native development on AWS, GCP or Azure
• Docker and Kubernetes (plus)
• Understanding of functional vs. object‑oriented and imperative vs. declarative programming.
• SQL schema optimization and knowledge of NoSQL trade‑offs.
• Git version control.
• CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Performance and security testing practices.
