About the role
We are looking for a friendly and efficient Telephone Operator to join our hospitality team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling calls, reservations and providing essential information about our facilities and local attractions.
Key responsibilities
- Answer internal and external calls with warmth, route them appropriately and address guests by name.
- Manage reservation inquiries, bookings and cancellations while delivering detailed information on facilities, directions and nearby attractions.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and update system records.
- Conduct guest satisfaction courtesy calls, keep precise call logs, relay messages and perform timely wake‑up calls.
- Collaborate with departments such as Engineering and Security to ensure smooth service and compliance with IHG safety, environmental and sustainability standards.
Required profile
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Team player who can work effectively with multiple hotel departments.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
