Assistant Manager – Enterprise Technology & Shared Services (Operational Excellence)

About the role

As part of EY’s Business Consulting team, you will join a client‑facing Strategic Operations Office and lead a workstream focused on enterprise technology, shared services and operational excellence. The role involves assessing current capabilities, shaping improvement priorities and coordinating initiatives across enterprise applications, ERP, supply‑chain systems, data platforms and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a defined workstream, setting objectives, deliverables, milestones and governance.
• Assess current‑state technology and operating environments, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support the development and execution of digital strategy, technology enablement and business‑process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate business and technology stakeholders to translate needs into requirements, roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Evaluate enterprise applications such as ERP, supply‑chain management, reporting, workflow and automation tools.
• Design or improve shared‑services operating models, service catalogues, governance and performance measures.
• Contribute to enterprise data management, reporting, data governance and analytics initiatives.
• Prepare structured analyses, decision papers, roadmaps, status reports, dashboards and executive presentations.
• Manage workstream risks, issues and dependencies, escalating as needed.
• Facilitate workshops with corporate functions, technology teams, risk functions and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise technology, shared services, digital transformation or consulting.
• Proven experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and back‑office support functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder‑management and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on‑site at client locations for extended periods.
