Associate Scientist – Analytical Research

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Scientist to join its Analytical Research team in Sahab, Jordan. You will support product development by designing and executing research projects, performing laboratory tests, and analyzing data to create new pharmaceutical products and improve existing technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement analytical research activities, including project initiation, experimental design, routine procedures, and reporting.
• Operate and maintain sensitive analytical instruments, ensuring proper function and data integrity.
• Prepare and handle chemical solutions safely in the laboratory.
• Develop basic pharmaceutical formulations and support scale‑up/technology transfer activities.
• Summarize and critically evaluate study results, generate hypotheses, and author technical reports.
• Participate in bench‑to‑pilot scale development and assist in technology transfer to commercial plants.
• Follow departmental policies, SOPs, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, controlled work.

Required profile

• Ability to work in the laboratory throughout the day and handle sensitive instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of instrument functionality and analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing chemical solutions safely.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for reporting and presenting results.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to evaluate data and develop new hypotheses.
