Evaluation Officer – UNICEF Jordan

About the role

UNICEF Jordan is seeking an Evaluation Officer to lead the implementation of the Country Programme’s Costed Evaluation Plan and ad‑hoc evaluations. The role supports evidence‑based decision‑making across programme areas such as Child Protection, Education, WASH, Health, and Social Protection.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and conduct evaluations in line with UNICEF evaluation standards and the Costed Evaluation Plan.
• Develop evaluation tools, data collection protocols and analysis frameworks.
• Coordinate with programme teams, government partners and civil‑society stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality evaluation outputs.
• Prepare synthesis reports, learning briefs and recommendations for programme improvement.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building on evaluation methods within the Country Office.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in social sciences, development studies, statistics, public health or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience conducting evaluations in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with UNICEF’s evaluation guidelines and the United Nations results‑based management framework.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
