Experienced Associate – Audit & Assurance (External Audit) – UAE

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team within the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC) in the UAE. You will work on external audit engagements, building trust with stakeholders and delivering high‑quality audit services while supporting the firm’s purpose of making an impact that matters.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying knowledge of regulation and risk management.
• Gather and analyse key statistics and industry information before engagements begin.
• Adapt template referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and assess their relevance.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across audit files in a timely manner.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and demonstrate how they contribute to overall audit quality.
• Challenge audit plan timings and propose efficiencies where appropriate.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and clearly separates accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of audit standards, regulatory environments and risk management principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both on‑shore and off‑shore.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail in data gathering and documentation.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing audit scope and quality issues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of external audit methodology and procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk assessment frameworks.
