Food Services Shift Lead

About the role

The Food Services Shift Lead oversees daily food service operations, ensuring safe handling, storage, and distribution of rations and water. This position supports the DFAC and storeroom supervisors to maintain a 24/7/365 food service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor local national employees and vendors during subsistence and water deliveries.
• Handle food receipt, storage, and transfer in strict accordance with the Tri‑Service Food Code and HACCP procedures.
• Assist the DFAC Supervisor with cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, and replenishment.
• Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and a professional atmosphere in all work areas.
• Ensure proper use and safeguarding of government and contractor‑provided property.
• Accurately complete time‑reporting and timesheets.
• Comply with applicable government regulations such as AFI 34‑239, AFMAN 34‑240, and related food service policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to cold, heat, dust, noise, and chemicals.
• Willingness to support food service operations around the clock.
• Commitment to uphold company standards and lead by example.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP procedures and the Tri‑Service Food Code.
• Familiarity with AFI 34‑239 and AFMAN 34‑240 food service regulations.
