Generator HVAC Technician (Jordan)

About the role

The Generator HVAC Technician will provide on‑site technical support for U.S. Army field operations in Jordan. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems, ensuring reliable power and environmental control for mission‑critical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on 3 kW to 150 kW generators (including 150 kW EPP III units) and associated AC/DC control systems.
• Install, remove, and test generators in fixed, mobile, and field environments, including load‑bank operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units on trailers and vehicles.
• Maintain UPS systems and fabricate wire harnesses, solder terminals, and copper tubing connections.
• Provide training and technical assistance to site operations and maintenance personnel.
• Document work performed and comply with safety and security regulations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• High School diploma plus 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2 years validity), driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Middle East (Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq).

Required skills

• Extensive diesel generator maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of generator parallel systems, switchgear, and load‑bank testing.
• Experience with HVAC refrigerant handling, copper brazing, and system evacuation.
• Electrical wiring, wire‑harness fabrication, and soldering.
• Section 608 Technician Certification (EPA) is a plus.
