Process Lead – SMD

About the role

The Process Lead – SMD will be responsible for maintaining continuous operation of production lines by resolving machine issues, analysing breakdowns and driving improvements in maintenance and manufacturing processes. This role works closely with factory maintenance, OEMs and the IE DMS team to ensure safety, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Directly support resolution of machine issues and ensure continuous production.
• Analyse breakdowns and process failures, proposing actions that consider budget and manufacturing costs.
• Participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings and execute the daily production plan.
• Coordinate with OEMs and the Factory Maintenance Lead to schedule and prioritize maintenance work.
• Support compliance with guards, interlocks, safety maps and EHS standards.
• Contribute to the development of the annual maintenance plan and share line requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coach, train and collaborate with shop‑floor teams.
• Strong problem‑solving initiative and personal accountability.

Required skills

• Advanced understanding of electrical processes.
• Good understanding of mechanical processes.
• Knowledge of storeroom operating strategies.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
