Senior Design Director

About the role

ASALI Engineering Consulting & Project Management is seeking a visionary Senior Design Director to lead its architectural design team. You will shape design strategy, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high‑quality solutions from concept through advanced design stages.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive overall architectural design direction and strategy across assigned projects.
• Develop strong design concepts that meet client objectives, site context, and ASALI standards.
• Lead teams through concept, schematic, design development, and detailed design phases.
• Review and approve architectural deliverables, presentations, drawings, and design packages.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior, and specialist consultants.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination, resolve technical and design issues.
• Present to clients, conduct design workshops, and manage client feedback.
• Mentor designers, monitor project deliverables, resource allocation, and design quality.
• Support business development, proposals, competitions, and major project presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 12+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Proven senior design leadership (Design Director, Design Manager, Associate Design Director, or Lead Architect).
• Strong background in concept design, design development, and multidisciplinary management.
• Excellent client coordination, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Deep understanding of architectural planning, materials, detailing, and construction methods.
