Supply Chain Coordinator – Syria (Damascus)

About the role

The Supply Chain Coordinator will lead procurement, logistics and asset management for the Syria Country Office, ensuring that program needs are met efficiently and in line with organisational policies and child safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities, applying SCI Procurement Manual, Country Logistics Manual and partner guidelines.
• Implement supply‑chain strategy to achieve cost savings, compliance with sanctions and export controls.
• Coordinate logistics, including distribution planning, fleet management and freight scheduling.
• Maintain and update qualified vendor lists and support capacity‑building plans for implementing partners.
• Ensure child safeguarding measures are integrated into all supply‑chain processes.
• Manage and develop direct reports, monitoring performance and growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain, procurement or logistics management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
