Enterprise Architect – Damascus, Syria

About the role

The position is based in Damascus, Syria and is a full‑time onsite role. The Enterprise Architect will define and govern the overall architecture of a large‑scale enterprise business application platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data, integration, security, and infrastructure standards. Arabic language skills are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end‑to‑end enterprise architecture blueprint for the platform.
• Define target architecture across business, application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure layers.
• Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews, and architecture decision‑making.
• Ensure the platform supports enterprise‑scale usage – high availability, performance, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Review and guide HLDs, LLDs, integration designs, data migration approaches, deployment models, and operational readiness plans.
• Support integration architecture with ERP, IAM, telecom/network systems, planning/design platforms, and enterprise integration layers.
• Guide legacy system transition, migration, coexistence, and decommissioning strategies.
• Identify architecture risks, technical debt, scalability gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with business owners, security, infrastructure, data, application teams, vendors, and architecture review boards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, telecom infrastructure, or large‑scale platform delivery.
• Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, operations, governance, and service delivery environments.
• Experience with telecom operators, system integrators, or large‑scale infrastructure projects (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms such as Odoo, ERPNext, Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP, ServiceNow, or Maximo.
• Experience with architecture review boards and regulated enterprise environments.
• Experience in Middle‑East or Asia‑based large transformation programs is an advantage.
