Personal Property Specialist (USN) – Jordan

About the role

The Personal Property Specialist supports the Personal Property Processing and Shipping Office (PPPO/PPSO) in Zarqa, Jordan, ensuring efficient handling of household goods, unaccompanied baggage and personally procured moves for U.S. service members and eligible customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a multi‑service Personal Property Processing and Shipping Office in compliance with all regulations and the Performance Work Statement.
• Control the flow of personal property information, documentation and shipment actions from initial contact through final delivery.
• Provide counseling on entitlements, responsibilities and shipment options according to the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) and Joint Travel Regulation (JTR).
• Assist customers with the Defense Personal Property System (DPS), including applications, claims guidance and entitlement clarification.
• Manage front‑office shipment functions for inbound and outbound Household Goods (HHG), Unaccompanied Baggage (UB) and Personally Procured Moves (PPMs), including booking, storage coordination and SIT management.
• Conduct quality‑control inspections, monitor Transportation Service Provider performance and process administrative actions such as invoices and loss/damage claims.
• Maintain customer sign‑in logs, ensure follow‑up for Customer Satisfaction Surveys and keep records in accordance with AR 25‑400‑2.

Required profile

• Proficient computer skills and ability to operate a variety of software applications.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Valid driver’s license from home country, valid for at least 12 months from start date.
• Valid passport with at least 12 months validity and six blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
• Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC) and authorized entry onto U.S. military installations.

Required skills
