HSSE Manager for Terminal Upgrade Project

About the role

The HSSE Manager will lead the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental framework for a major terminal upgrade, ensuring safe execution and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project HSSE Management Plan and legal compliance register.
• Lead HSSE risk assessments, maintain risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.
• Provide governance, assurance and independent challenge across all project activities.
• Conduct audits, inspections, safety tours and incident investigations.
• Manage contractor and supplier HSSE performance from procurement to project close‑out.
• Establish emergency preparedness, response and crisis management arrangements.
• Monitor HSSE KPIs, targets and continuous‑improvement initiatives, reporting trends to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of HSSE leadership experience on large capital, infrastructure or terminal projects.
• Proven experience driving HSSE culture, workforce engagement and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry best practices and APM Terminals HSSE standards.
