Loss Prevention Officer

About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent situational awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
- Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS.
- Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for external assistance when needed.
- Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
- Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Assist guests with room access, support individuals with disabilities, and uphold company service standards.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unaided.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
Required skills
- Proficiency in operating CCTV monitoring systems.
- Experience with alarm system management (perimeter, duress, fire).
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Incident reporting and documentation.
