Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and conducting investigations. This full‑time, onsite position ensures a safe environment and protects company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and loss‑prevention activity logs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Assist guests, including those with disabilities, and uphold hospitality service standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
