Senior Accountant – Tax

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant with a strong focus on tax to lead our accounting operations in Amman. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring tax compliance, and managing relationships with auditors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with Jordanian tax regulations, including VAT.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash‑flow activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the finance function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, VAT and financial reporting standards.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA or ACCA are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
