Accounting Trainee

About the role

Join Chalhoub Group as an Accounting Trainee and support the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to the full accounting cycle within a leading luxury retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Follow accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent, controlled work.
• Verify supplier documentation, manage payments, pre‑payments, insurance claims and overdue accounts.
• Process travel and expense reports, corporate card transactions and advances, coordinating with payroll and HR.
• Reconcile cash and credit‑card collections, review invoices, credit notes and deposits.
• Raise and reconcile invoices, credit notes and debit notes, and prepare monthly aging reports.
• Handle intercompany invoices, reconciliations and payments, supporting reporting and audits.
• Assist with treasury functions, maintain cash position and support bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork orientation.
