Assistant Executive Chef – Lebanese Cuisine

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Executive Chef to support the Executive Chef in delivering authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes. The role combines hands‑on cooking with leadership of the kitchen team to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and workflow coordination.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service and adherence to recipes.
• Prepare Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes to established quality and presentation standards.
• Inspect incoming ingredients for freshness and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.
• Contribute to menu development, seasonal offerings, and new dish concepts.
• Monitor food costs, portion control, waste, and inventory levels.
• Support purchasing, receiving, storage, and stock rotation procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
• Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management or related qualification.
• 3–5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Lebanese cuisine.
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
