Backend Support Engineer (Python)

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a skilled Backend Support Engineer with strong Python expertise to ensure the reliability and performance of its trading platforms. The role involves night‑shift coverage and close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑availability support for backend systems and resolve issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and fix backend problems in partnership with development and infrastructure teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new features and products.
• Design and implement solutions based on business requirements.
• Write technical specifications and adhere to coding standards.
• Demonstrate implementations to team leads, heads, and the CTO.
• Implement unit and integration tests and ensure software quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and suggest refactoring.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python for backend troubleshooting and support.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of microservices and service‑oriented architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of web security standards and best practices.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
