Business Intelligence Specialist

About the role

Capital Bank is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to provide strategic, analytical, and technical support for BI activities. The role involves leveraging data to uncover business opportunities and presenting insights to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements.
• Collaborate with business teams to define and document requirements for new metrics and reports.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and analytical tools.
• Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports.
• Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
• Identify and analyze data errors and inconsistencies, delivering timely resolutions.
• Translate data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts for management.
• Create written communication materials that summarize findings and support recommendations.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports and views frequently to aid management in analysis.
• Teach and advocate the use of business intelligence tools across the organization.

Required profile

• Up to 5 years of experience in the business analytics field.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience writing software requirements and test specifications.
• Experience in project management.
• Proven ability to use data to drive business decisions.
