IBM DataPower Integration Designer

About the role

IBM is looking for an experienced IBM DataPower Integration Designer to design and implement secure, scalable and high-performing integration solutions. The role covers gathering and analysing business requirements, assessing technical feasibility, preparing solution designs and giving technical guidance through the implementation lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Attend business and technical meetings to gather and analyse requirements.
• Perform technical feasibility assessments and propose the optimal integration solution aligned with the core team.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents according to defined standards.
• Design secure, scalable and high-performing integration solutions using IBM DataPower.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during implementation.
• Work with business, architects, development, QA and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions successfully.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience designing IBM DataPower integration solutions.
• Experience designing DataPower services such as Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy and XML Firewall.
• Good understanding of security concepts including OAuth, SSL/TLS, AAA and certificate management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, REST APIs and XSLT.
• Understanding of SOA, enterprise integration and middleware concepts.
• Exposure to IBM API Connect or other API management platforms is an advantage; telecom domain experience is a plus.
