Data Analysis Specialist

About the role

Hikma is looking for a Data Analysis Specialist to design, develop and maintain data models that translate complex business data into actionable insights. The role works closely with data engineers, governance teams and business leaders to ensure data quality, consistency and usability across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, create and maintain logical and physical data models for IT and business solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and business requirements and translate them into robust data structures.
• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, apply transformations, and propose data cleansing or enhancement strategies.
• Produce data flow diagrams, dimensional models (e.g., star schemas) and other visual representations to support analytics and reporting.
• Work with data engineers and DBAs to optimise data collection, storage and retrieval processes.
• Develop and enforce data‑modelling best practices, governance, security and quality standards.
• Conduct performance tuning of data models for efficient access.
• Maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation and clear definitions for key datasets and business terms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least three years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, BI analyst or a similar role.
• Proven project experience using programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with relational, dimensional and analytical data projects.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Sage.
