ASP.NET Developer – FMIS Project (Remote/Onsite)

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is seeking an experienced ASP.NET Developer to support the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) project. The role will involve building and maintaining application modules, integrating services, and providing technical support both on‑site at the HQA office in Amman and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core, including hierarchy, premises, projects, dashboards, reporting, and GIS components.
• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and system integrations with internal and external platforms.
• Provide daily technical support, troubleshoot issues, perform bug fixing, and optimise performance.
• Review code for security, performance and compliance with UNRWA standards.
• Support deployment, user acceptance testing, production releases and post‑go‑live stabilization.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides and user manuals, and deliver progress and backlog reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in web application development with ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server.
• Proven experience in enterprise application development, API creation and system integration.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

What we offer

• Monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 (or equivalent in USD) for each fully completed month.
• Fixed‑term consultancy of 7 months with possible extension based on performance and funding.
• Work based at UNRWA HQA in Amman with the possibility of remote consultancy.
