Regional Foresight Analyst

About the role

The Regional Foresight Analyst will lead an evidence‑based update of the Arab States Regional Foresight Analysis, testing previous findings, identifying new trends and delivering actionable insights for UN Resident Coordinators and country teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review the January 2026 analysis, define research questions, scope and workplan, and demonstrate AI necessity through a 5P analysis.
• Compile and compare the latest Country Cooperation Arrangements (CCAs), creating an evidence matrix on priorities, risks, opportunities and cross‑border dependencies.
• Conduct horizon scanning, collect signals from UN, expert and external sources, and produce a prioritized signal log and dashboard.
• Update systems maps, causal pathways and scenario logics, stress‑testing UN priorities and country assumptions.
• Facilitate consultations with DCO/ROAS, RCOs and UN entities, and lead validation and senior discussion sessions.
• Deliver a capacity‑strengthening workshop, providing methodology guides, templates and a recurring update process.
• Produce publication‑ready outputs, editable source files and a concise handover note, ensuring data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, engineering, statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in foresight, strategic analysis, scenario planning or AI‑driven data analytics.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
