About the role
The Direction Setting Manager – DTS Sales leads the sales and business development function for Maersk, driving revenue against forecasted quotas. This senior role combines strategic planning, sales execution, and people management to grow the business across all channels.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement sales strategy and processes to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new sales and marketing growth opportunities.
- Lead a team of direct and indirect reports, handling hiring, performance appraisal, coaching, and career development.
- Develop policies, practices, and business plans aligned with short‑ and long‑term objectives.
- Monitor and adapt departmental plans to address resource and operational challenges.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in sales, business development, or commercial management.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including hiring and performance management.
- Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to set direction and drive results independently.
- In‑depth knowledge of the industry and inter‑functional dependencies.
