Enterprise Support Specialist (National Position)

About the role

Near East Foundation is launching the Jordan MSME Evergreen Fund, a multi‑year programme that combines revolving financing with tailored business development services for micro, small and medium enterprises across Jordan. The Enterprise Support Specialist will act as the primary technical advisor to entrepreneurs throughout the financing and growth journey, from initial assessment to post‑disbursement support.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed enterprise diagnostics to evaluate business maturity, commercial viability, operational performance, market position and growth potential.
• Segment enterprises into Micro Enterprise, Missing Middle, or Development & Innovation categories based on programme criteria.
• Develop customized Enterprise Development Plans that outline technical, managerial, financial and market support needs.
• Deliver or coordinate business development services covering business planning, financial management, cash‑flow management, costing and pricing, marketing, digitalisation, and market expansion.
• Provide advanced advisory support to Missing Middle and Development & Innovation enterprises, including investment‑readiness and post‑financing technical assistance.
• Travel frequently between project sites across Jordan to engage with beneficiaries and partners.

Required profile

• Experience in enterprise diagnostics, business development or SME financing support.
• Ability to assess commercial viability and growth potential of businesses.
• Strong analytical skills to inform financing decisions.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Jordan.
