Environmental Health and Safety Officer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to lead our hotel’s EHS and food safety management system. The role ensures compliance with HACCP, ISO standards and local regulations while delivering exceptional service to guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and maintain the EHS and food safety management system in line with HACCP, ISO and local regulations.
• Prepare and present management reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Lead or support audits (EHS, HACCP, ISO, Sustainability, OHSMS) and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor audit results, analyse trends and develop action plans to maintain compliance.
• Investigate incidents, document root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Update procedures, policies and forms in response to regulatory changes.
• Track EHS goals, analyse performance data and report to the EHS committee.
• Conduct training on EHS and food safety for all employees.
• Perform regular workplace inspections and enforce corrective actions.
• Audit suppliers and contractors for EHS and food safety compliance.
• Manage all EHS documentation and reports.
• Collaborate on corporate social responsibility and Rotana Earth programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading EHS, HACCP and ISO compliance initiatives, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Strong ability to prepare analytical reports for senior management.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills for training and cross‑departmental collaboration.
