Financial Systems Consultant – International (Remote)

About the role

The External Relations and Communications Department (ERCD) of UNRWA seeks a consultant to modernize its financial and donor‑facing reporting processes. The role involves optimizing tools, consolidating data from SAP and Zoho, and exploring automation opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, and visibility of reporting outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess the existing Zoho database and produce a consolidation report.
• Review SAP data cube connections and reporting linkages, delivering a bridging report.
• Recommend a feasible workplan for combined use of Zoho and SAP data.
• Develop a collective database or online file system for donor data with a historical archive.
• Propose templates for graphs and illustrative reporting formats suitable for online publication.
• Assess the use of Power BI across ERCD reporting and produce a findings report.
• Develop Power BI dashboards where feasible and train colleagues on their use.
• Create a workflow for Power BI and document update procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to the contributions unit for Financial Working Group reports.
• Prepare a consolidated solution for modernizing and streamlining ERCD reporting.
• Document data structures, definitions, and update procedures for sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in financial reporting, data analytics or business process improvement, preferably in an international context.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic is an asset.
