Generator & HVAC Technician – Military & Commercial Systems

About the role

The Generator & HVAC Technician will support the U.S. Army Worldwide Field Support contract in Jordan, providing on‑site troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance and training for both military and commercial power generation and environmental control equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and sustain 3 kW‑150 kW generators, including installation, removal, and repair of AC, DC and electronic control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, chillers and environmental control units on trailers, vehicles and standalone installations.
• Operate load banks for generator testing and perform electrical wiring, harness fabrication and soldering.
• Maintain UPS systems and perform field and shop‑based repairs.
• Provide technical assistance and training to site operations and maintenance personnel.
• Travel to regional sites (Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq) as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2 years), driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
• High school diploma (or equivalent higher‑education/experience combination) and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Medical/CRC clearance for deployment.

Required skills

• Extensive diesel generator maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of generator parallel systems and switchgear.
• Brazing copper tubing and refrigerant evacuation/recharge.
• Load bank operation and electrical wiring.
• Wire‑harness fabrication and soldering.
• HVAC, chiller and environmental control unit troubleshooting.
• Section 608 Technician Certification (EPA) – a plus.
