IT Officer – Hotel Technology Management

About the role

The IT Officer will be responsible for all information technology functions within the Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba. The role supports every department by ensuring reliable hardware, up‑to‑date software, and secure data handling, enabling smooth daily operations in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, peripheral equipment, and related environmental conditions (temperature, power, earthing).
• Manage relationships with local hardware dealers and maintenance contractors.
• Ensure software handbooks are available, install licensed software, and keep applications up to date according to corporate guidelines.
• Act as Data Security Officer: oversee OS and program security, perform regular backups, and protect against viruses.
• Implement data protection and confidentiality measures in line with national laws.
• Maintain records of software licenses and user authorisations for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support within a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of hardware maintenance contracts and compliance.
• Knowledge of software licensing regulations and data protection legislation.
• Ability to train staff on proper use and maintenance of IT equipment.
