Junior Accountant – Support Daily Accounting Operations

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role you will support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and assist with month‑end and year‑end processes. The position offers the chance to develop core accounting skills in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation and payment processing.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures and prepare financial reports.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance role.
• Degree, diploma, or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial management platforms.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
