Linux Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the stability, security, and performance of a fleet of more than 1,000 high‑performance Linux workstations used by engineering, machine‑learning, and research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a large‑scale Linux workstation fleet, including patching, upgrades, and configuration drift remediation.
• Provision and deploy workstations via PXE/iPXE pipelines, troubleshoot installation failures, and prepare systems for end‑user handoff.
• Develop and maintain configuration‑management code using Puppet, OpenVox, or equivalent tools, following coding standards and review processes.
• Troubleshoot hardware and peripheral issues, coordinate vendor support, and perform firmware/BIOS upgrades.
• Maintain endpoint security configurations, support 802.1X authentication, certificate enrollment, and ensure audit logging remains operational.
• Provide technical support to researchers and engineers, and create/run documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in Linux administration, infrastructure operations, or systems engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems.
