Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety of guests, employees and assets within the property. Working full‑time on‑site, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents and support emergency procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control guest access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock and unlock property entrances as required.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and resolve safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Assist guests and staff during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• File detailed incident and shift‑summary reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training and uniform standards.
• Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
