Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position ensures a safe environment and supports the overall security strategy of the establishment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and report incidents.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documents.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
