Painter / Polisher – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Painter/Polisher supports the hotel’s engineering team by responding to guest repair requests, performing surface preparation, painting, and a wide range of preventative maintenance tasks. The role ensures guest areas and equipment are kept in excellent condition while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Prepare surfaces, paint, and conduct minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, and various guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before work.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handover.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler systems.
• Follow all company safety, security, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform tasks on stairs, ladders, and service ramps.
