Plant Engineer

About the role

The Plant Engineer supports daily plant operations by monitoring performance metrics, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor. This hands‑on role works closely with department managers to resolve issues and implement best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the plant in monitoring and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support achievement and maintenance of ISO, BRC, and food safety certifications.
• Collaborate with department managers on daily tasks and follow‑up on operational issues.
• Analyze line change and size change activities, highlighting improvement opportunities.
• Investigate performance, downtime, quality, and maintenance issues, recommending corrective actions.
• Track general projects, contribute to report writing, and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor employee work in assigned departments and identify performance enhancements.
• Perform hands‑on tasks when required.
• Help implement company systems and procedures, and train the workforce for compliance.
• Participate in visual management, workplace audits, and coordinate follow‑up actions with related departments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on technical aptitude.
• Ability to train and support staff on procedures and standards.
• Analytical mindset for identifying and solving operational issues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Familiarity with BRC and food safety requirements.
• Experience with KPI monitoring and visual management.
• Capability to conduct workplace audits.
