Principal Engineer - Wet Utilities

About the role

Egis is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead wet utilities design and delivery across high‑profile infrastructure projects in the Middle East. The role combines technical leadership, client relationship management, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of wet utilities systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for major projects, maintaining strong, productive client relationships.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to achieve optimal financial performance.
• Report project status, technical performance, and team development to senior management.
• Produce design documentation and calculations using Civil 3D within a BIM environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in wet utilities design and delivery of complex projects.

Required skills

• Civil 3D for BIM‑based design.
• Design of potable water, sewage, and related wet utility systems.
