Procurement Services Officer (NO-2) – Temporary (364 days)

About the role

The Procurement Services Officer (NO-2) provides multi‑country technical support to UNICEF Country Offices, government counterparts and partners. Based in Amman, the role ensures that supply needs are identified, country readiness is assessed, and procurement processes are effectively implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Act as focal point for procurement services across selected countries (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon).
• Identify supply needs and assess country readiness for procurement.
• Develop and implement engagement modalities for procurement services.
• Monitor operational and transactional requirements to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with government counterparts, partners and internal supply managers.
• Support contract preparation, award and management in line with UNICEF policies.
• Prepare reports and data analyses on procurement activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain within humanitarian or development settings.
• Familiarity with UNICEF procurement guidelines and international procurement standards.
• Ability to work in a multi‑country environment and travel as needed.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
