Programme Funding Portfolio Development Specialist – MENAEE

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Programme Funding Portfolio Development Specialist for the MENAEE region. The role will provide strategic leadership and guidance to optimise and align programme funding portfolios across multiple countries, supporting the organisation’s global funding framework.

Key responsibilities

• Support the strategic development and optimisation of country and regional programme funding portfolios, including donor relations and partner development.
• Conduct market and donor analysis to identify funding opportunities, risks and priorities.
• Provide guidance on programme funding governance, capture planning and pre‑positioning of proposals.
• Collaborate with implementing country offices, regional hubs and global colleagues to translate market intelligence into actionable guidance.
• Promote a systematic, high‑quality and consistent approach to programme funding and donor partnerships across the MENAEE region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme funding, portfolio development or donor relations within an international NGO or similar environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market intelligence and develop strategic recommendations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across country offices, regional hubs and global teams.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% internationally.
