Project Manager – Payments & Transaction Switching

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee the administrative and technical aspects of medium-to-large payment and transaction-switching projects, ensuring smooth delivery from inception to completion. You will work closely with other Project Managers, Squad leads and internal stakeholders to align processes, manage resources and guarantee issue-free execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects, from requirement consolidation through planning, execution and hand-over, following defined standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior management to align project practices with business expectations.
• Maintain project timelines and budgets, securing cost approvals and managing vendor relationships.
• Communicate status and escalations to all stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Assess risks associated with configuration changes, perform impact analysis and implement mitigation plans.
• Support testing across all phases and champion quality delivery within the PMO framework.
• Utilize BASE24, simulators and management tools such as Jira and Confluence for project tracking.
• Work with solution design teams to capture complex business requirements and evaluate alternative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in transaction switching and payments domain, including issuing, acquiring, digital wallets, e‑commerce and scheme certifications.
• Proven experience managing medium to large projects in the payments business.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, techniques and tools.
