Property Book Technician

About the role

The Property Book Technician will support logistics and property accountability operations for the Army in a forward‑deployed environment in Jordan. This full‑time position ensures accurate tracking, reporting, and management of government property across multiple units and locations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain property book records in line with AR 710‑2, AR 735‑5 and related policies.
• Process transactions and updates using GCSS‑Army and supporting logistics systems.
• Conduct cyclic and sensitive item inventories and analyze results.
• Manage lateral transfers, due‑in documents, and property adjustments.
• Prepare DA and DD forms, memorandums and supporting documentation.
• Provide readiness analysis, identifying shortages, excess and disposition needs.
• Support change‑of‑command inventories and property accountability briefings.
• Coordinate receipt and fielding of new equipment and modernization items.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Minimum three years of U.S. Army Property Book experience within the last seven years.
• Strong knowledge of Army property accountability and supply regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deployed environment.

Required skills

• GCSS‑Army at the Property Book level.
• Experience with DST, AESIP and eFLIPL systems.
• Ability to analyze inventory data and resolve discrepancies.
