About the role
The Senior Banquet Operations Manager leads all banquet and event activities within the hotel, ensuring an outstanding guest and member experience while driving sales performance and cost efficiency. This senior position reports to hotel leadership and works closely with internal departments and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all banquets and events, maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Evaluate guest satisfaction and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop ideas to expand the range and quality of conference and banquet offerings.
- Optimize sales, contain costs, and identify actionable improvement areas.
- Maintain effective communication across hotel areas, with external customers and suppliers.
- Ensure staffing levels align with business demand and oversee ongoing training.
- Conduct communication meetings and produce post‑meeting minutes.
- Handle staff performance issues in line with company policies.
- Recruit, manage, train, and develop the banquet team.
- Ensure compliance with security, fire regulations, and health‑safety legislation.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of the hotel, leisure, and service sectors.
- Proven success in conference and banquet operations, including profit generation, cost control, and customer loyalty.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Managerial experience in hotel or events‑center banquet operations.
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent (preferred).
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
