Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist designs, implements, and optimizes complex IT infrastructure across on‑premises data centers and hybrid cloud environments. You will lead advanced virtualization projects, ensure high availability, and mentor junior engineers in a fast‑paced enterprise setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy advanced virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V, AHV) and integrate them with storage and backup systems.
• Administer enterprise servers, storage arrays, SAN switches, and tape libraries for optimal performance.
• Lead hyper‑converged infrastructure deployments (Nutanix, VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex, Huawei FusionCube).
• Implement data protection strategies using Veeam, NetBackup, Acronis, Veritas and conduct recovery testing.
• Manage Windows, Linux, and Solaris operating systems and core services (AD, DNS, domain controllers).
• Perform root‑cause analysis for critical incidents and drive resolution.
• Support migration and integration projects for infrastructure modernization and hybrid cloud enablement.
• Document designs, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with project teams and vendors to deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.

Required skills

• Expert‑level administration of VMware, Hyper‑V, AHV.
• Cloud administration experience with Azure, OCI or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SRM and other VMware technologies.
• Backup and recovery platforms: Veeam, NetBackup, Acronis, Veritas.
• Operating system expertise: Windows, Linux, Solaris.
• Infrastructure services: Active Directory, DNS, domain controllers.
• Hyper‑converged solutions: Nutanix, VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex, Huawei FusionCube.
