Senior SATCOM Engineer – Floater

About the role

The Senior SATCOM Engineer will design, install, maintain and support LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, as well as advanced satellite communications at the Joint Training Center in Jordan. The role provides Tier 2/3 network and RF system support, requires a U.S. Secret clearance and up to 100% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and sustain LAN, WAN and VoIP networks.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise network and advanced RF systems.
• Troubleshoot, identify root causes and resolve network and satellite system issues.
• Monitor service requests and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Create and maintain network documentation and enforce best‑practice policies.
• Operate and maintain satellite modems, redundancy switches, converters, amplifiers, antennas, control units, UPS, generators and related hardware.
• Utilize Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for maintenance and fault isolation.
• Manage inventory of telecommunications supplies and daily equipment.
• Program and operate FDMA/TDMA modems, iDirect and Linkway hubs.
• Oversee all assigned satellite terminals.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Government‑issued Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and U.S. citizenship.
• Minimum 10 years experience installing, repairing, troubleshooting or maintaining satellite communications systems.
• At least 10 years operating tactical satellite equipment, including antenna controllers, amplifiers, converters, fiber/coax/Ethernet cabling, and FDMA/TDMA modems.
• Proven expertise with commercial and military TDMA/FDMA satellite modems.
• Network+ and Security+ certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
