Technical and Engineering Director - EPC

About the role

The Technical and Engineering Director – EPC leads operational, technical and functional activities across EPC and concessions projects, ensuring alignment with organisational standards, business objectives and regulatory requirements. The role drives performance, coordination, compliance and stakeholder engagement while supporting continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day design and technical activities to ensure efficient execution, compliance and service quality.
• Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, contractors and operational tasks to meet approved timelines.
• Liaise with internal departments, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, clients and operational teams for smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, regulatory standards, HSE requirements and industry best practices.
• Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, service standards and quality benchmarks, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports, technical records, progress updates, cost analyses and management presentations.
• Optimise utilisation of manpower, equipment, budgets, materials and other resources to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 18 years of total professional experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in a senior technical or engineering leadership role.
• Proven experience in the Power, Energy, Combined Cycle Powerplant or Solar industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
