Mechanical Draftsman – Water & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Hussein Atieh & Sons Co. (HAE) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join its field teams on water, wastewater, irrigation and related infrastructure projects across the MENA region. The role focuses on producing accurate mechanical shop and installation drawings and supporting site and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update mechanical shop and installation drawings for pipelines, valves, pumps, fittings and equipment.
• Develop detailed drawings, sections, details and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with civil, electrical and other disciplines.
• Incorporate engineering comments, approved changes and site modifications.
• Support site and engineering teams in resolving drawing‑related technical issues.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and technical records.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and approved standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably on water, wastewater, irrigation or infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills.
