Accountant – Accounts Payable (2+ Years Experience)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant specialized in Accounts Payable to support our U.S. operations from Amman. The role is ideal for candidates with solid accounting fundamentals, strong Excel abilities, and fluent English communication.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and perform credit‑card and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare payment schedules and assist with month‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and generate reports/financial analyses using Excel.
• Collaborate closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure transaction accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable.
• Excellent written and spoken English for daily communication with U.S. colleagues.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and analytical attention to detail.
